As Part of Nottingham Trent University, The DEC's Primary Goal Was To Fully Showcase Their Facilities
We were approached by the DEC’s marketing and leadership team to tender for the opportunity to build a new WordPress website for the centre to showcase their facilities and to give the team complete autonomy to update content, add additional information according to their business needs. The project brief included the importance of reflecting their existing branding, imagery and content while optimising for SEO.
The website’s primary goal is to make it easy for users to find suitable office space or memberships, apply for membership, and see availability for event spaces or meeting rooms.
What The Project Involved
Build & Functionality
A top priority was creating a website for the Dryden Centre that could be easily edited and maintained by the team. The content management system was designed with flexibility and performance in mind, enabling the marketing team to showcase and update their services as needed effortlessly.
Optimising Speed & Performance
Our implementation of several optimisation strategies has brought about a significant enhancement in the website’s performance, especially considering its extensive use of imagery and video content. Images were meticulously optimised to ensure swift page loading. Additionally, the website now uses dynamic srcset for adaptive images, a Content Delivery Network (CDN) for faster content delivery, and an advanced caching system. These features collectively contribute to vastly improved page speed and reduced loading times, promising a superior user experience that we can all be excited about.
